This unlikely duo's storyline began in May 2005, when an unfortunate accident led to the death of Cassie Newman, Nicholas and Sharon's little girl. Daniel Romalotti, son of Phyllis Summers Abbott, was charged with vehicular homicide in connection with Cassie's death. When Daniel goes on the run, Nick is determined to avenge his daughter's death and Phyllis follows suit to save her only son. Here begins the story of their adventureous relationship from adversaries to lovers.
